Holly Hickmore

Holly has trained in classical sculpture using the lost wax technique at the Hungarian University of Fine Art in Budapest.  She has also worked in marble and mixed media, including wood, cement, wire, tin and bread!

She completed her BA in Fine and Applied Art in 2016 at Canterbury.  Back in Hampshire she joined Wessex Sculptors and appreciated the peace of Brockwood Barn, where she liked being able to experiment with a variety of materials.  Holly’s work was soon gaining recognition in Hampshire and beyond and is now a sought after artist with some pretigious commissions to her name.  We are very proud to have been part of her journey!

Holly’s sculptures and oil paintings most often explore an equine theme, having spent much of her childhood on horseback around West Meon.  Her intent is to capture the subject’s strength, energy, personality, movement and state of mind in each piece.  She has exhibited her work all over the country.  See more of Holly’s work at: https://www.hollyhickmoresculpture.com/
