John Gregory

We are very sad to announce that John passed away in December (2025) after some time of failing health. He was a member of Wessex Sculptors  for several years.  His work was diverse and reflected his methodical approach and imagination.  The title of the piece he is working on in the picture is “The Elegance of Movement in Nature”.  One side of the piece is a flying swan, the reverse is a leaping dolphin. 

He used the natural material of wood to capture, in an abstract form, the movement of flight and the leaping of dolphins.  We will miss his gentle presence at the studio and his wry sense of humour.
