n 16th June, artist Su Joy will be coming back to our studio to run a workshop showing us how to make mosaic tablets.  Mosaics date back to the Byzantine era, and their permanence, often in pristine condition, are testament to their durability and longevity: they remain a highly popular and exciting medium to work with today.  In this workshop, you will learn how to design and incorporate ceramic, glass, metalwork, stones or even shells into your project with further instruction for grouting and polishing your finished piece. You will go home with two small pieces of work.

All materials will be provided, but collecting your own ceramic or glass makes it personal to you and a lovely addition, to incorporate into your design. Nothing too thick: Bone China thickness is ideal, but a little thicker could be used.

The cost, to include materials, is £70 for Wessex Sculptor members adn £90 for non-members.  Full payment is required to secure your place.
