On the 13th November 2022, there will be a workshop held at our studio in Brockwood where we have invited greenwood carver Jamie Carr to show us how to make wooden spoons. Participants will be shown how to use a carving knife safely and how to use the grain of the wood. Also discussed will be the characteristics of different woods, where you can get them and the tools you might need. To give you some inspiration, see Jamie’s block by clicking HERE.
Cost, to include materials and use of tools: £50 members, £70 non-members. Light refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch. Full payment in advance is required to secure a place. Reimbursement on cancellation less than a week before the workshop date will only be made if we can fill your place.
