In 2011, a group of us headed off to spend a few days up North. We visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and then went on into Wakefield to visit the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Both venues are rich in inspiring work and well worth visiting. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park has acres of outside space to walk around with site specific sculptures as well as indoor exhibitions. See https://ysp.org.uk/ for more information.
The Barbara Hepworth Museum has a comprehensive collection of works including maquettes and huge finished pieces, giving an in depth insight into the sculptor’s working practices. See https://hepworthwakefield.org/ for more information.
